The bubble that's about to pop

Open rates on the newsletter are up 20% over the last month which is great news that the newsletter is improving.

That’s in large part due to really good email subject lines / headlines

This is another one that I expect the highest open rate of the year (60%)

People love new and they’re implicitly curious. This headline is also bold.

Is it clickbait if I reveal right now that I’m not actually launching something called Settleman Ventures?

On Thursday of last week, Snapback was the only coverage of the brand new Ryan Field to be live on the grounds and get a tour from Pat Ryan Jr., the brains behind the $875M masterpiece at Northwestern.

A few weeks ago, Tim sent this message in our company slack.

I responded that it’s already in the roadmap.

So while we’re not actually Settleman Ventures, a consulting arm for stadiums and fan experiences, just know that it is something we’ll likely do in the future.

The dream:

  1. A stadium/team taps us to consult on how to improve on their fan experience

  2. I buy a team and get to do it for my own team

As we toured Ryan Field, my eyes were wide with amazement but I was also taking notes.

In today’s newsletter, I’ll give my review but also why I think we may be in a bubble…
